This Cookie Policy explains how Fast Gives uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on fastgives.ca and within our Android app, and the choices available to you. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember information about your visit, like your cart contents or login state. We use both first-party cookies (set by fastgives.ca) and, in limited cases, third-party cookies (set by services like analytics providers).
2. Essential cookies
These are required for the site to function and cannot be turned off. They do not require consent.

3. Wishlist cookies

4. Cart & abandoned cart recovery cookies

Type: non-essential for the email-linking function — requires consent for the recovery email to be sent; the basic cart-contents cookie above is essential.
5. Analytics & performance cookies
We use Google Analytics and similar tools to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, time on site, general location) so we can improve it. These are non-essential and require consent.

6. App tracking (non-cookie equivalents)
Our Android app doesn’t use browser cookies, but uses equivalent technologies:
- Device identifiers (Android Advertising ID) for analytics
- Local on-device storage for preferences and cache
- Session tokens for authentication
You can disable in-app analytics from within the app’s Settings > Privacy screen, and control personalised recommendations from My Account.
7. Managing your preferences
You can:
- Adjust which non-essential cookies you allow on our Cookie Settings page
- Block or delete cookies through your browser settings (this may affect site functionality, e.g. your cart)
- Opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
